Do I need to move out while you paint inside?
No, most homeowners stay at home. We work room by room, so you can keep living in the rest of the house. If you'd rather be away, tell us when you book and we'll plan around it.
Do I have to move my furniture?
No. We cover your furniture and floors as standard. It helps if you clear small items and anything fragile. We'll talk through each room with you before we start.
What affects the price of an interior paint job?
The number of rooms, ceiling height, trim, surface condition, access, preparation and any colour change all affect the quote. The time a job takes depends on the same things. Your quote sets out the rooms, surfaces and preparation covered, so you know the scope before work starts.
My home is older. Is lead paint a problem?
It can be. Homes built before 1970 have probably used lead-based paint, and sanding it creates harmful dust. Lead paint in good condition under newer coats is not a health risk, but disturbing it is. We follow lead-safe practice whenever we prepare older surfaces.
Can painting fix mould or peeling in my bathroom?
Only if the moisture problem is fixed first. Mould and peeling come back when a leak or poor ventilation is still there, whatever paint goes on top. Once the room can dry out, we prepare the surface and repaint it.
Can you help me choose colours?
Yes. We do colour consultations as part of the colour selection and planning step, before any painting starts. We'll talk through the room, the light and how you want it to feel.
